White Heather House - Bradbury Centre

SKARCHITECTS LTD have considered HARPs objectives for developing land to the rear of the Bradbury Centre at 103-107 York Road, Southend on Sea. The concept made the best use of previously developed land, to significantly enhance the Bradbury Centre and offer a female only training and accommodation unit to complement the existing services in a contextually appropriate, reflective and considered way.

The proposals intend to rejuvenate the area by creating a contextually appropriate triptych of high quality small scaled inspirational buildings, which respond to the distinctive character of York Road and the successful Bradbury Centre.

Redevelopment proposals are to provide new high quality, safe and supportive single sex training facilities and housing to the highest quality creating homes for a further 19 people within the Town Centre.

The project has been delivered through SKARCHITECTS LTD construction arm SKAPROJECTS LTD.

The project was awarded  RIBA East 2018 Design Award and RIBA East 2018 Client of the Year.
