Winner of an AJ Award 2023

We won Housing Project (up to £5 million) at the AJ Awards 2023 at the London Hilton Metropole on Wednesday 22nd November 2023.

The judges were immensely moved by this housing scheme. Not only is it unique to its place, built to Passivhaus standards and well-resolved, but ‘it has gone over and above on its social approach,’ they said.

Empire Theatre

After nearly four years of design development we are eagerly awaiting the outcome of our planning application to progress Southend City Centre from a town to a city.

The old Empire Theatre site in Alexandra Street is proposed as mixed-use development with a large area given over to a new pedestrian tree lined street together with a series of small commercial units to the ground floor within an enclosed arcade.  The proposal also includes community space on the first floor opening out onto a shared garden and a series of City Centre contemporary apartments.

We believe this scheme along with other projects we are working on are transformational and will lead to an aspirational City Centre living, working and relaxing by the sea.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

Tylers Avenue, Southend City Centre

Tylers Avenue is an aspirational development to realise the potential of living by the sea, with estuary views, less than a 2-minute walk from Southend Central station.  The proposal includes commercial ground floors and a new landscape square to alleviate what has previously been a very tight pedestrian pavement on the back edge of Chichester Road and Tylers Avenue.

We believe this scheme along with other projects we are working on are transformational and will lead to an aspirational City Centre living, working, and relaxing by the sea.
